Canton Goldenaires is a Barbershop Chorus
affiliated with the national organization, Barbershop
Harmony Society. The Goldenaires was founded in 1963
and are one of the oldest chapters in New York State.
We are a men's service organization dedicated to the
preservation of the barbershop style of singing.
We use our love of Barbershop
singing to support the communities of St. Lawrence County. Please
look for our performances throughout the year all around
the area. See our Facebook page for more information
Each year the Goldenaires participate in a Singing Valentines
Program to benefit our local high school graduating seniors
seeking higher education. Since the program's inception
in 2009 we have awarded $14,000 to local graduates in 12
different schools in St. Lawrence County.
If you are
a man with a love of singing please consider attending one
of our practices. We meet every Monday night at 7:15

selections from the '60s including several Beatles' songs
along with other contemporary music. During its 36-year

Kribs (guitar /banjo), Arlin Greene (bass), Doug
Moody (fiddle) and Orion Kribs (mandolin /guitar), collectively
known as "The Trophy Husbands", is a powerful combination
of instrumental virtuosity and truly "explosive" vocal
As four of the North Country's most highly
regarded musicians - they have put their minds, hearts,
voices and strings together with a repertoire of both iconic
and obscure Americana, traditional folk music and
well crafted original songs.
Guitarist and singer
songwriter John Kribs is the founder of Racquette
River Rounders and Johnny & the Triumphs, a former "McKrell"
and guitarist for "The BlueBillies". His songs have gone
to the top of the "American Play" charts in France and used
on NPR's "Car Talk".
Fiddle virtuoso Doug Moody
(Papa Chubby, The Steam Donkeys, and The McKrells) is a
veteran of more than 20 years of touring. One of the most
sought after "sidemen" in the northeast, he has been drafted
into a "countless and eclectic" list of upstate string bands.
Bassist Arlin Greene cut his musical teeth with his father,
legendary country artist "Smokey Greene". In his long and
unique career, he has worked with artists as varied as Dan
Tyminski (Allison Kraus), and 80s pop star "D Train" Williams.
By 15, Orion Kribs was performing regularly with
his father. In the 15 years since then he has become an
outstanding musician, singer songwriter, and soloist in
his own right as a member of the cutting edge alt rock band
"Black Mountain Symphony" and country music's "BlueBillies".
